BENEFIT HIGHLIGHTS:

Accidental Death and Dismemberment: Pays a principal sum of up to $1,000,000

Paralysis: 200% of principal sum

Seat Belt Benefit: Pays an additional 20% of the principal sum if worn.

Bereavement Benefit: Pays up to $10,000

Dependent Child Benefit: $10,000 for each dependent child

Child Care Benefit: Up to $20,000 for child care for each dependent child

Education Benefit: Up to $20,000 for post secondary education for each dependent child

Identification Benefit: Up to $10,000 for family member to travel to identify body

Repatriation Benefit: Up to $15,000 to prepare and return the deceased's body

Memorial Benefit: Up to $2,500 for expenses of the organization or department

Medical Expenses: Up to $25,000

Plastic Surgery: Up to $10,000, injury or illness

Total Weekly Disability Benefit for Injury: Up to $1,000 for up to 10 Years

First Week of Disability Benefit: Always pays up to $1,000

Total Weekly Disability Benefit for Illness: Up to $1,000 for up to 5 years.

Minimum Benefit: $100.00 per week; Pays even if not employed; will pay over and above WCB

Partial Disability Benefits: Pays for both injury and illness, up to total disability amount

Cost of Living Adjustment: Up to 3X Weekly Benefit, increasing by 5% of pre-disability income per year

Home and Vehicle Adaptation: Up to $15,000

Rehabilitation: Up to $20,000

Retraining: Up to $20,000

Permanent Physical Impairment Benefit: Pays for both injury and illness

Transition Benefit: Extends disability benefit for up to 26 weeks after recovery if member loses job while on claim

In-Hospital Benefit: Pays $50 a day. In-Hospital also means that the Insured Person is an out-patient requiring physical therapy, rehabilitation and/or follow-up physician visits.

Family Expense Benefit: Pays up to $10,000

Mental Stress Management: Up to $10,000 for single incident or cumulative affect of multiple incidents

Career Members: Automatically included, unless asked not to

Auxiliary, Board, Community and Junior Members: Automatically included

Exclusions: No exclusions for sports or for pre-existing health conditions!

Rider available: Coverage for Organized League Athletics can be added

 
Scope of Coverage: Twenty-Four (24) hours a day, anywhere in the world, while Off Duty.

Minimum Benefit: $100.00 per week for 13 weeks if not employed

Home and Vehicle Adaptation: Up to $10,000 Rehabilitation:

Psychological Therapy: Up to $5,000

Rehabilitation Benefit: $20,000

Family Transportation: Pays up to $2,000

Career Members and Board Members: Can be included
